Students will receive the following amount of flight training hours during the licensing phases of the program:
| Hours | Training Type |
|---|---|

| 10 | CPL flight training |
Practical Training
The FAA regulations do not specify minimum required classroom time for candidates who want to obtain this certification. So, it is up to a flight training facility and a student’s personal flight instructor to determine the required study hours. At Aerocadet, we require you to undergo 70 hours of ground school in a lectured, guided and self-guided format. The break-down is as following:
| 12 hours of complex aircraft training (Piper Arrow), of which | ||||
| 10 hours of dual instruction flight time, of which | ||||
| One cross-country flight of not less than 300 nautical miles total distance, with landings at a minimum of three points, one of which is a straight-line distance of at least 250 nautical miles from the original departure point. However, if this requirement is being met in Hawaii, the longest segment need only have a straight-line distance of at least 150 nautical miles; and | ||||
| 2 hours at night | ||||
Theoretical Training
The FAA regulations have certain minimum aeronautical experience requirements that are based on the flight time that an average person with good pilot abilities requires to become proficient in execution of CPL maneuvers necessary to obtain your private pilot license. Our course is based on these requirements and will, as a minimum, include:
| 50 hours of CPL classroom and self-guided theoretical studies |
